Robinson Secondary School opened in 1971 and was named in honour of Sergeant James W. Robinson, Jr., the first Virginia resident to receive the Medal of Honour for conspicuous gallantry and heroism in the Vietnam conflict. The record of his performance is held in the highest regard by all members of the Robinson community, and he provides a model for character and leadership that extends to all facets of our school program.
At the middle school level, Robinson provides opportunities for active learning and an appropriate environment for developing academic success, interactive skills, and personal self-esteem. The middle school instructional program includes numerous and varied elective course offerings in the fine and performing arts, publications, technology, and language.
Robinson Secondary School is proud to be a member of the Robinson Community Coalition, a model program for cooperation and collaboration among all members of the community, addressing issues that affect its youth.
