About Richmond County Ninth Grade School

Richmond County Schools serves 15 schools in the areas of Ellerbe, Hamlet, Hoffman, Norman, and Rockingham, North Carolina. Our district includes 7 elementary schools, 4 middle schools, and 4 secondary schools. We believe that our educators continually strive to leave a lasting legacy in and out of the classroom by Inspiring Excellence. Together, our district is well-positioned to demonstrate how a rural county can compete academically on a global scale.

Student attendance directly correlates with success in academic work, improves social interaction with adults and peers and provides opportunities for important communication between teachers and students. Regular school attendance also fosters responsibility, determination, respect for rules of society --traits that are critical for developing career readiness skills, success in college and in life.

Students will be recognized monthly as student of the month, A/AB Honor Roll, perfect attendance, students caught being positive, PBIS.
