About Oak Grove Elementary School
The mission of Oak Grove-Bellemeade is to create a pathway to lifetime success where students thrive and grow to their full potential through respect and challenging, engaging learning experiences guided by highly qualified, passionate educators in partnership with families and communities.
Vision:
At Oak Grove-Bellemeade Elementary School we are preparing our students to reach their maximum potential while becoming responsible citizens and lifelong learners.
The Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Jackie Robinson (known to the students as "Auntie Jackie"), has developed a Character Education Program - "We Are Family". She works with each classroom on a regular schedule and counsels individual students on an "as needed" basis.
Her role as guidance counselor is embodied in a personal message from her.
Additionally, all teachers are presented with opportunities throughout the day to reinforce these values, resolve conflict, make positive choices and solve problems.
Oak Grove- Bellemeade continuously develops and implements strategies that facilitate optimal learning opportunities for all children guided by the six goals identified by Richmond Public Schools.

The Parent Teacher Association serves as a vehicle for parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned adults to discuss ways to improve student achievement, expose our children to cultural programs, encourage community involvement, and work together for a safe and nurturing school and neighborhood.
