About Kent Island Elementary School
Kent Island Elementary School is located in a rural setting in Queen Anne's County. The school opened in September 1956. It was the first school to service all students of elementary age in one facility on Kent Island.
Over the years Kent Island Elementary has been renovated several times including major renovations through out the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 school years.
KIES was completed as it stands now at the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year. It houses Pre-School, Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First and Second Grades.
Kent Island Elementary School works to provide each student with a successful educational experience.
