Empower our school, Embrace our community, and educate to build positive futures as global citizens together.
The Justice High School community collaborates to create a culture of personal responsibility, integrity, critical thinking and accountability through a supportive, nurturing, and active learning environment that ensures each student succeeds and becomes a purposeful member of our global society.
Justice High School, formerly known as J.E.B. Stuart High School, was renamed in July of 2018. The name was chosen to represent a fundamental American value but also specifically in honor of three outstanding individuals identified by our community for their roles in championing equal rights, inclusivity, and justice for all
Barbara Rose Johns, Justice Thurgood Marshall, and Col. Louis G. Mendez Jr. The school is located in east-central Fairfax County near the Seven Corners and Lake Barcroft areas. Justice is a comprehensive high school with an international student body and a world class curriculum. Students speak over 50 different languages at home and represent more than 70 countries. The faculty is dedicated to providing a wide variety of classroom experiences designed to meet the needs of its diverse population.
All students participate in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (MYP) and may opt to participate in the Advancement Via Individual Determination Program (AVID) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, selecting individual courses of interest or pursuing the full IB diploma.
Justice High School is committed to providing students with a high quality learning experience in an up-to-date physical plant equipped with state-of-the-art technology. All students receive a school issued laptop and teachers use this technology to enhance classroom learning. Justice High School has a rich history of high levels of student participation in curricular and co-curricular activities. Justice is particularly proud of their award winning band, orchestra, and chorus.
There are also many opportunities for students to give back to their community through activities such the National Honor Society, Key Club, and the Interact Club. In addition, the school enjoys the benefits of a dedicated Parent Teacher Student Association, several Booster Clubs which support performing arts and athletics, and partnerships with the Bailey's Crossroads Rotary Club, Urban Alliance, and Verizon.
Hello Justice Wolves!
The Justice HS PTSA welcomes you all. My name is Barbara Burgess, and I am the president of the PTSA. I am thrilled to be working with a fantastic board which includes a student representative.
We are looking forward to helping our excellent teachers with programs and activities, such as teacher grants and welcome breakfast. We hope that parents will enjoy the programs at each of our monthly meetings, such as an introduction to the changes to the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook. One of the benefits for students is the All Night Grad Party.
We can’t do this without your help. Membership is only $10.00. Please join or volunteer today!
The Justice HS PTSA is here to serve our community. So, please do not hesitate to reach out at president@justicehsptsa.org with any questions or ideas or concerns. I look forward to hearing from you.
