About James M Bennett High School
James M. Bennett High School (JMB) was established in 1962 and is one of four high schools serving the needs of students in Wicomico County. It is a comprehensive public senior high school with an enrollment of 1,400 in grades nine through twelve. It is accredited by the Middle States Association of Secondary Schools and Colleges and the Maryland State Department of Education. The professional staff of 110 teachers and assistants provides instruction to a diverse student body. JMB offers a broad program in inter-scholastic sports including varsity teams and equal opportunities for male and female students in numerous sports. Other activities include Honor Societies, Student Government Association, two school publications, and numerous special interest groups. The school also sponsors a concert band, marching band, and concert choir ensemble.
