About Hollywood Elementary School

Hollywood Elementary School (HES) provides a high quality education focused on our students. Upon entering our hallways, you will experience students, staff, parents, and community members collaborating to provide a high quality educational program that values teamwork, exploration, discovery, and problem solving. HES serves approximately 500 students in grades PreK through 5. We have a diverse student body with an increasing population of military families from Naval Air Station Pax River. At HES, we set high expectations for all students with a standards based curriculum that's progressive and challenging. Our vision and goals are focused on partnership, creating a safe school environment, and increasing academic achievement. 

Vision Statement

Hollywood continues to ensure educational equity by implementing high-quality instruction and maintaining high expectations for all students. Through a focus on standards-based instruction and universal design for learning, staff work to address diverse learning styles and ensure access to instruction for each student including built-in supports and extensively.

OUR MISSION:

1. To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting our children.
2. To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.
3. To encourage parent and public involvement in public schools in our community.
