Mission

The mission of the Richmond Public Schools, the gateway to infinite possibilities, is to lead our students to extraordinary, honorable lives as inspirational global leaders who shape the future with intellect, integrity, and compassion through challenging, engaging learning experiences guided by highly qualified, passionate educators in partnership with families and communities.

Vision

George Mason Elementary School is a child-centered, safe, and secure environment served by the collaborative efforts of supportive adults from the home, school, and community. We are dedicated to a teaching process that values diverse learners and enriches the academic, social, and physical well being of all students.

About GMHS PTA:

The George Mason High School Parent Teacher Student Association (GMHS PTSA) was organized and chartered under the authority of the Virginia State Parent-Teachers-Student Association.  

The GMHS PTSA is a non-profit designated IRS 501(c)(3) non-commercial, non-sectarian and non-partisan organization.  While recognizing that the legal responsibility to make decisions about school policy is delegated to the boards of education, state education authorities, local education authorities and the citizens of Falls Church City,  the GMHS PTSA seeks to participate in the decision making process regarding the Educational circumstances of the youth enrolled in the Falls Church City School System.  

The GMHS PTSA will accomplish this by fostering collaboration between parents, teachers, school administrators, government officials and the community at large.  Most importantly, the GMHS PTSA is completely committed to executing its mission and goals without regard to color, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or national origin.
