About Franklin Sherman’s PTA:

At Franklin Sherman we are proud of our diversity, with a student body comprising children from different cultures and with differing abilities.  At our International Night, over 20 countries were represented! About 15 percent of our student population are English learners. Over 30 percent of students participate in some level of advanced academics. And, about 15 percent of students receive services for special needs, including two classrooms dedicated to children with autism and related disorders. The FSES PTA is a parent-run organization that works with the teachers, administrators, and staff of Franklin Sherman to enhance the educational experience and social development of our children. We are a community that emphasizes caring and working together with others. The generosity of our parents, through a combined commitment of time and financial resources, allows us to provide additional resources for our children, including technology in the classroom, library books, and field trips. The PTA funds and organizes community-building events such as the Fall Social, Thanksgiving Luncheon, and International Night. We also coordinate After School Activities. In addition, the PTA serves as our school's advocate before the Fairfax County Public Schools administration, and in some cases, before the county and state governments. To know more about the PTSA, please check the below website:
