About Fairview Heights Elementary School
Vision: All students at Fairview Heights Elementary School will receive a 21st Century education, empowering them to lead productive lives in a complex and changing world.
Mission: FHES will partner with families and the community to provide a positive, safe environment where all students receive a well-rounded education in order to become globally productive citizens.
Fairview Heights Elementary School began a school-wide implementation of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) in the 2016-2017 school year. PBIS focuses on creating and sustaining school-wide systems of support that improve the educational environment for all students. Our goal is to explicitly teach behavioral expectations and recognize the positive behaviors shown by our students.
All staff members at Fairview Heights Elementary School will establish regular, predictable, and positive learning environments. The staff members will serve as positive role models to students as they teach expected school behaviors. Our school also has a system in place for recognizing and rewarding expected behaviors. By improving the school environment, we hope to increase learning time and promote academic and social success for every student.
