We, Evergreen Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association (EMS PTSA) are a 100% volunteer-driven unit of the Washington PTA, which is a branch of the National PTA. We uphold the National PTA’s vision and work in partnership with the school and families to support and expand the school’s educational goals through fundraising and volunteerism.
The National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is the oldest and largest volunteer child advocacy association in the nation. Its mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. The PTA’s nationwide network provides parents with the forum and tools to collectively influence the decisions that affect children not only at their schools, but also throughout their districts, within their states, and across the nation. Many of the benefits our children receive today, such as universal kindergarten, the National School Lunch Program, and a juvenile justice system, were accomplished as a result of the PTA mission.
We are committed to building a strong partnership between parents, community and school to create a substantial and positive impact on our children’s wholesome growth.
