Mission Statement

Through mutual support and collaboration, the staff and parents of Camelot Elementary work to empower students to gain self-awareness, a sense of community and a passion for learning.

We believe in our students by maintaining high expectations and working to enable them to reach their full potential.
We believe in our staff through mutual respect, the importance of collaboration, maintaining a positive attitude and by sharing our passion for learning with our students.
We believe in our community and invite their participation and support to build upon our successes in order to secure an optimistic future for our students.

School Summary

It is the mission of Camelot Elementary School to encourage school staff members and parents to work together to meet the individual needs of each student. It is our expectation that each child will meet the benchmark objectives for his or her grade level. We will work to differentiate instruction in order to meet the needs of all of Camelot's children. Intervention and enrichment will be provided for all students as needed. It is also our goal that students learn from one another through our diverse cultures and that they value and respect all, including those who are different from themselves. We continually strive to create a positive atmosphere where both students and adults are enthusiastic about teaching and learning.

In order to achieve our mission, the staff at Camelot Elementary is working to function as a professional learning community. As part of a professional learning community the staff is working to:

Work together as a team with common goals.
Be committed to the academic success and general well-being of all students.
Continually monitor each child's progress.
Use research to analyse best practices in teaching and in student learning.
Use testing data and common assessments to evaluate students' needs.

Camelot PTA

The Camelot Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports the Camelot Elementary School. The PTA’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Just a few ways the Camelot PTA supports our school includes: funding field trips for all grade levels, planning after school educational programs, engaging the school community through social events, in-school assemblies, and classroom teaching tools.

The Camelot PTA is focused on supporting our school and children by being:

Directly involved in programs that benefit our children.
Offering suggestions when the staff needs a parental point of view.
Helping plan ongoing programs and offer support to initiatives that bring new ideas to the school.
Offering the teachers and administrators support whenever we can!
