School Summary
Bull Run Elementary School opened its doors in September of 2000. Bull Run is located near the historic Manassas Battlefield Park and the Dulles Technology Corridor, the bridge from our past to the future. It is a warm and friendly school that serves a diverse student population.
We believe it is our responsibility to adhere to our core belief: We see you. We welcome you. You belong here at Bull Run Elementary.
Bull Run Elementary School embraces the Professional Learning Community philosophy in which no teacher is left in isolation and teams of teachers take collective responsibility for every student's success. We embrace the growth mindset philosophy and believe that every student has a gift.
Students learn in a safe, caring, and positive learning environment that stimulates intellectual curiosity, fosters a commitment to lifelong learning, strives for excellence in academic achievement, and promotes strong character development. Our goal is to educate the whole child and help students prepare to become productive, contributing citizens. We believe in the shared partnership of the school, parents, and community in achieving this goal.
We know that successful students learn both at home and at school. As such, Bull Run is very fortunate to have a community that greatly enhances our learning environment through participating in special events, volunteering at the school, and supporting the school's programs and faculty/staff. The ideal combination of devoted families, a supportive PTA, and talented and dedicated educational staff members gives students opportunities for optimal success.
Bull Run Elementary School PTSA
Welcome to the Bull Run Elementary School Parent-Teacher Association! Our mission is to provide support to teachers, staff, students, and the community. This year we hope to build and grow a sense of community at Bull Run. We have many fun events planned, including Fall Ball, Skate Nights, Bingo Nights, Movie Nights and more! Also, be sure to support us through Amazon Smile, Giant Rewards, and more (see the BRES Rewards Points Fundraisers page)! BRES PTA offers many wonderful after-school enrichment clubs for your children to participate in, and we are working on scheduling a couple of student assemblies as well. We need many volunteers and hope you’ll consider joining us — many hands make light work! Please contact any board member with any questions or concerns.
